Win in Belgrade

Win in Belgrade
Real got its first road win in Euroleague thanks to a great finish and to a giant Tavares who finished the game with 5 blocks.

Both teams focused on defense resulting in a low score game. Real, who had a 9 point margin by mid second quarter (11-20 min 14) was not able to get a bigger gap and Red Star got back in the game for a reasonably tight scoreboard by halftime (27-33).

Coming off the locker room and lifted by their fans, the locals were able to get in control of the game and they were finishing the quarter with a 3 point advantage (52-49) after a three from Faye, the Whites not being able to score on their last possession.

But Real was back on track in the last quarter in which the Whites scored 26 points and which they launched with a 0-12 run (52-61, min 35). Seven threes in the period (Rudy, 3, Causeur, 2 and Llull 2) and the visitor's big men great work on defense, had no answer from the locals and Laso's men pulled a quality win in Belgrade.

Next week Real hosts FC Barcelona at el Palacio, in Euroleague.
