Everything was ready for a great basketball game on Friday night at he Nou Congost, a very particular 'arena' with a great crowd, and a special venue for Sergio Llull.
Pedro Martínez's men were of to a good start, running and accurate from the long range; Real Madrid stroke back taking the lead at the scoreboard but great minutes from Vaulet leading a 7-0 for his team carried Baxi Manresa to a 4 point advantage at the end of the first quarter, 26-22.
Campazzo was Real's best man in the second quarter supported by a good Abalde, and the visitors were able to get to halftime with a one point advantage after a very long three pointer from Manresa by the beater, 42-43.
Real kept setting the pace in the third quarter as Mateo's men got an 8 point advantage by the end of the period (58-66, min 28). But Baxi Manresa got a 9-5 run reducing the gap to 4 points at the end of the first 30 minutes of the game (67-71, min 30).
Manresa played its best basketball at the beginning of the 4th period, with a 7-2 run for the locals that got them a 1 point advantage at the scoreboard (74-73, min 32). But Llull and Campazzo, both pretty inspired from the long range, got Real back leading (81-86, min 37).
The locals, always combative, tried to overturn the score again, but the Whites were consistent on both paints and managed to get a new win, 88-94.
