The second Clasico of the season is again for Real
02-10-2023
The second Clasico of the season came up early, with a similar script than the one played at the Super Copa recently. Poirier took Tavares' spot and was the best man for Real with 22 points and a 29 PIR.
Both teams were off to a slow start, not very accurate and on a slow pace (14-13, min 10). An astonishing Diagne (16 years old, 5 points and 8 rebounds in the first quarter), and Campazzo were Real's best men until Porirer's appearance, while FC Barcelona lived on Jokubaitis, Abrines and Brizuela's individual plays. At halftime the locals were leading 37-33.
Back in the court, Real Madrid was better than the visitors and an 11-3 run got them a maximum advantage in the game (48-36, min 24). Both teams echanged baskets until the end of the period, despite none of the squads being too accurate in offense.
Llull stroke for the Whites in the last quarter with 7 consecutive points, leading his team, as FC Barcelona made its best for shortening the gap at the scoreboard. But Real Madrid never really feared for winning the game, as a three from Campazzo and 2 and 1 form Musa, finally closed the door to FC Barcelona.
86-79 at the end of the game, and second Clasico and third win of the ACB season for the Whites.
