The leader stands strong in Miribilla
10.000 fans witnessed a great clash in Miribilla as Surne Bilbao hosted Real Madrid basket. Real stroke first thanks to Tavares (7 points in the quarter) as the locals were carried by an excellent Hakanson (29 points, 33 PIR at the end of the game).

The first 10 minutes were for Real despite Bilbao's basket guard persistence, and a good run from Mateo's men carried them to a 5 point gap (16-21) launching the second period.

Real's back court seemed determined to brake the game early in the second quarter as the Whites recorded good run to open a good gap (16-29), but Miribilla's roar lifted the Basque squad and the contest reached halftime with a tied score, 42-42.

The third quarter was a back and forth affair between both teams, Musa leading Real Madrid. The Whites were always the team pulling at the scoreboard but the locals were always able to bounce back. Sergio Llull closed the quarter with an extraordinary three by the buzzer for the hosts minimum advantage, 58-59, after three periods.

Both teams exchanged baskets in the fourth quarter's beginning, the locals being more accurate and restoring the lead (69-66) at the scoreboard. But Deck came out strong for Real scoring 5 consecutive points with less than 2 minutes left (77-82, min 39) with Llull putting a bolt on the game with three free throws for the final win, 80-85.
