Super Cup winners and MVP for Sergio Llull
Real Madrid overcame the squad's absences (Abalde, Rudy, Randolph, Thompkins) in the Super Cup Final, coming back at the score board during the second half of the game for the first trophy of the season.

Barcelona was off to a better start (18-12, min 5) thanks to its accuracy (Oriola scored 3 threes before halftime) but Alocén was leading Real to its first comeback and the game finished the first quarter with Barcelona leading 23-22.

Llull scored the first second quarter's basket (23-24) while the game stayed close within these first minutes of the second period, but after a lively exchange of baskets a 9-0 run for Barça was giving Jasikevicius' squad the first important advantage of the game (46-37, min 19). Heurtel scored a three before halftime reducing the gap (46-40, min 20).

Real Madrid had a hard time scoring coming off the locker room while FC Barcelona was dominant on both paints. The Catalan squad got quickly a max 12 points advantage thanks to a 6-0 run and reached an alarming 19 point margin (63-44, min 25). But it was Llull's time, as the guard lead an 8-18 run (71-62, min 30) and made Real believe again in the victory.

Poirier (dominant on both paints), Taylor (pivotal on defense) and Alocén helped out Llull on an extraordinary comeback as the Whites tied the game (81-81, 1 minute 44 seconds to go) thanks to a three from a consistent and reliable Williams-Goss.

Yabusele was giving Real a new advantage with 2 free throws scored, Brandon Davies tied again for FC Barcelona but Poirier was scoring again from the free throw line (83-85). Davies missed FC Barcelona's last two shots while Alocen (1) and Yabusele (2) scored 3 more free throws for Real, for a final 83-88 score and the win for Real.

First trophy of the season for the Whites and new Super Cup MVP trophy for Sergio Llull at the end of the game, the 3rd award of his career.
