Semi finals pass after a good second half
14-02-2020
The second game played yesterday night at the Martin Carpena in Málaga brought a good clash between Real Madrid and Bilbao Basket.
The first half of the game was frenetic with both teams scoring consistently. Randolph and Deck were accurate and Tavares was a bastion in the paint for the Whites. On the other side Bilbao Basket had its best men on Rousselle and Balbin with Bouteille having a hard time scoring. The shooting guard though was the culprit of an amazing three by the buzzer that was sending the game to halftime with Real leading by 3 (50-47).
But Real came off the locker room stronger on defense and Tavares was again huge on the paint. Real Madrid was finnally running on ofense and Laso's men succeeded to get their first big margin of the game: 71-55. Bilbao was then off to two good runs that would get them as close as 5 points shy from Madrid (75-70).
It was the time for Sergio Llull to show up with 2 threes: one from the right corner of the offense and a centered one that was a 3+1. The guard scored 12 consecutive points and secured the win in front of a combative Bilbao Basket. The final result was 93-83 for Real Madrid who will face Valencia Basket on Saturday.
