Real storms Gran Canaria on a great first quarter

Steady launching of the series from Real Madrid: the locals recorded a 22-0 run by the end of the first quarter in fron of Gran Canaria, finishing the first 10 minutes with a score of 34-11.
While Laprovittola y Poirier were pivotal for the Whites in the first 10 minutes, Llull and Rudy were the ones pulling the strings in the second period, right when the visitors seemed to chain some good minutes specially thanks to Alicy and Shurna. Real was still leading consistently by halftime, 56-30.
But Real loosened up coming off the locker room and Gran Canaria succeeded to pull the first run (3rd quarter) of the game (78-65, min 30). However Laso's front court was back on track during the last quarter, and the locals were able to lock the game convincingly, 103-79.
The second game of the series takes place on Wednesday at the Gran Canaria Arena.
