Real overpowers Manresa and advances to the semi finals
Real Madrid was the first team to advance to the Liga Endesa semi finals after yesterday's win against BAXI Manresa.

Laso's men were much better than the Catalan squad in the first game of the series at the Wizink Center, with an excellent first half that Real closed leading by 19 points (48-29).

The Whites doubled Manresa in rebounds at the end of the first contest (52 per 26) and 5 players reached PIR double figures, Causeur being Real's best man and top scorer (17 points). The final result was 93-76.

Real Madrid was able to steal the second game, at the Nou Congost, which was much closer. Llull was in fact who opened the first gap for Real with 2 consecutive threes by the end of the first quarter that finished 21-25 for the visitors. Both teams exchanged runs in the second period as the game kept close by halftime (39-41, min 20).

Third quarter's run was again for Real, threatening to break away from the locals, but Manresa made some defense adjustments and succeeded to face the last 10 minutes alive (53-59, min 30).

Nine consecutive points from Chima Moneke in the last period gave Manresa the lead, but Deck, on Madrid's side, was outstanding on the dribble and produced most of Real's points in the last quarter. BAXI finally lost in the exchange of baskets and Real Madrid sealed the series being the first team advancing to the semi finals (74-83, min 40).

It was Rafa Martínez's last game as a professional who received a standing ovation from everybody at the arena.
