It was May 2007 and the opportunity to come to Real Madrid arose: I was first reluctant to believe it. It was a dream come true. Truth said: I had improved and progressed so much as a player during the previous years, since I got to Manresa, but when the most important dream comes true you need to pinch yourself and confirm you're awake. There was no time to waste: I wanted to proof Real Madrid how right they were with that decision. Even though I was a kid I knew I was not only ready, but eager for getting to Madrid and starting being productive.
We won the ACB Finals playing FC Barcelona at el Palau, in Barcelona! My life as a Real Madrid player had already begun as I expected it: being on top, winning championships, leaving a mark.
Today, as I have started this year my 13th season with the team I had always wanted to join, I am as thrilled and as enthusiastic as the first day, and my will to compete and win are the same. Wearing this jersey is a honor and a responsibility as well, and when we do compete there's no rest.
