Real Madrid gets back to winning before the Copa del Rey

Real Madrid was needy of a victory in Málaga after three consecutive defeats. The Whites took the first quarter (23-25) with a choral offensive game but Málaga did not lose track of the visitors thanks mostly to an accurate Brizuela.
The second period was for Ibon Navarro's squad: the locals were more consistent and took the quarter's run (26-22). Real's offensive work was good but the White's defense was not intense enough and Málaga led 49-47 at hafltime.
Unicaja was off to a better start coming off the locker room (57-50, min. 22) but Alocén (before he got injured) and Causeur rescued Real Madrid and both teams faced the last period with a tied score (65-65).
Heurtel and Causeur were Madrid's best men in offense starting the last quarter and Poirier set the standard on defense. Real grabbed an 8 point advantage as the team seemed to call the game but later in the quarter both a technical foul on Laso and an unsportmanslike foul on Real lifted Unicaja's run, who came only 2 points behind the Whites.
Tavares and Causeur scored at the final stretch for Real grabbing a 4 point advantage (88-92) and Barreiro's half court buzzer was not able to upset the visitors, who pull a victory (91-91) ahead of the Copa del Rey.
