It was a great clash, as expected, with two of the best European teams at the Palacio. During the first quarter Henry was the best player for Baskonia while Deck and Tavares where Real's top performers. Real was finishing the period with a 6 point margin (25-19).
An inspired Dragic led the visitors, very accurate from the 3 point line, and Ivanovic's men succeeded to overcome at the scoreboard. For the locals, Sergio Llull (7 points) and Trey Thompkins (5 points) were the ones leading the way, still the Basque team was reaching halftime with a 3 point advantage (40-43). The run in the quarter was 15-24 for Baskonia.
But coming off the locker room Real was outstanding: 28 points in the 3rd quarter per only 15 from Baskonia. Causeur scored 12 points, including 3 three pointers and Real was back in control of the game.
The Basque team would try hard in the last period but Real's defense was consistent and Fabien Causeur was on fire: 9 more points for a total of 21 scored in 19 minutes played. New win for Real Madrid, 92-83.
