Pablo Laso returns to the Wizink Center

Pablo Laso returns to the Wizink Center
It was a special day at the Palacio in Madrid, as the Whites were receiving Bayern Munich, whose coach Pablo Laso was back as a visitor after coaching Real Madrid for 11 years. The crowd gave Laso a standing ovation for more than 2 minutes before the start of the game.

One of Laso's bastions during his years at Real Madrid was the Whites top scorer at the game: Sergio Llull scored 16 points for the locals as Facundo Campazzo, another old friend from the former Real Madrid's coach scored 13.

The first 10 minutes were for the visitors, with a good defense that left Real in 19 points (19-23), but some adjustments on defense turned around the score for Real: a 23-14 run got the hosts ahead at the scoreboard (42-37).

Bonga, Edwards and Booker supported the Germans during most of the game, including the third quarter whose run was 21-20 for Real Madrid.

But Real's fourth period proved to be too much for Bayern, as a three from Llull with only five minutes forty seconds left, got a max advantage for the Whites, 77-59.

New victory (88-73) in Euroleague for a 13-1 record for Real Madrid, on a night that Pablo Laso will remember for a long time.
