Madrid pulls a thriller in front of Obradoiro
Real Madrid got its third consecutive win in the Spanish Championship securing for good the second spot in the league table.
Obradoiro, who was looking to certify its continuity in the ACB and much needed a victory, will have to wait for the next match ball.

The locals had a better start of the contest but Real was efficient in offense and managed to lead at the end of the first quarter (21-23) and by halftime (44-46).

Resuming the game after halftime Obradoiro got a 10-3 run that gave them a 5 point lead (54-49, min 23) but Laso’s men quality got them scoring despite the locals’ good defense (63-62, min 30).

Real Madrid’s threes (Llull, Taylor) allowed them to lead at the scoreboard by mid 4th quarter (77-82, min 35) but Monbus turned around the score after a three from Hobbs (86-84). Sergio Llull tied the game and Hanga scored one free throw (86-87), but Birutic dunked after an assist from Robertson as Obradoiro led by one point.

Llull got the last possession crossing the court at high speed for the last shot that fell short, but Abalde scored with a putback layup that gave the win to Real, 88-89.
