Llull secures the second road win of the week

The Martín Carpena is always a very difficult arena but Real Madrid managed to get a valuable win yesterday. Tight defenses on both squads from the start of the game (6-9, min 8), but Real was more accurate and got the first run of the game, 14-18.
On the second quarter, Unicaja's defense kept making it hard for Real to score as Dario Brizuela finally showed up for the locals and Málaga managed to get its first advantage of the game (25-23, min 16). With 31-29 for Málaga Tavares and Yabusele gave Real a lift for a 0-8 run as the game reached halftime (31-37, min 20).
Real Madrid kept pushing in offense after halftime led by Causeur and Hezonja and the Whites reached a 15 point margin (31-46, min 24) while Unicaja supported its offensive game on inidivdual plays. At the end of the third quarter Real Madrid was leading 47-56.
Unicaja's Brizuela got his team six points behind but Real Madrid answered with a new run (53-67, min 35) thanks to Musa and Tavares. It was then or never for the locals who managed to shorten the gap to 2 points, but Sergio Llull, scored 4 points in the last minute to give Real a valuable win, 71-76.
