Good launch of a new national championship.

Good launch of a new national championship.
Real Madrid launched a new ACB Season with a victory over Guipuzcoa Basket, on a game that took place in Miribilla, as the locals were not able to use their home court.

Causeur, Laprovittola and Tavares were the best men for Real in the first period (21-25), but the locals were more accurate in the second quarter and both teams left to the locker room with a tied game (41-41).

Laso's men were intense on defense and stepped up in offense as well, and were able to get an 11-0 run by the end of the quarter that was giving Real Madrid a 13 point lead, but again the locals stepped up and came back (64-68 min. 33).

It was once more Sergio Llull's time: the guard scored 8 consecutive points (he had already scored 9 consecutive points with no misses in the second period) for a new Real 8-0 run. That was too much for Guipuzcoa basket to overcome, and the Whites would only increase their lead until the end of the game (70-86).

First win for Real Madrid in this new ACB season.
