Fenerbahce was no contender for Laso's men and Real was already leading by 16 points (28-12) at the end of the first 10 minutes. Despite the visitors' response and improvement in the second quarter Real Madrid was reaching halftime with a comfortable advantage (49-36) and had in Abalde and Campazzo its best men.
