The Whites stay on a good path in Euroleague, harvesting tow consecutive wins, respectively in front of Panathinaikos and Olympiacos.
Two overtimes were needed on Tuesday at the OAKA Arena. A stellar Tavares (36 PIR) carried Real for most of the game but the tight score needed Sergio Llull to send the contest to its first overtime after an offensive rebound (68-68).
The locals forced a second overtime after 2 free throws (79-79) but the second extra time was for the visitors with a 14-18 run and a great Abalde with 15 points in the 10 extra minutes. The final score was 93-97.
Friday's game against Olympiacos had one overtime (69-69 min 40). Tavares was again pivotal (13 points, 10 rebounds, 5 blocks), this time supported by Laprovittola and Thompkins. A three from Llull with 30 seconds left was giving real a one point lead (81-82) and Real's defense and a consistent Laprovittola would take care of the rest for a valuable victory: 82-86
