A good first period set the fundamentals for a new European win for the Whites. Abalde and Causeur supported Real offensively during the first 10 minutes (14-22, min. 10) and Thompkins was their offensive lighthouse during the second. Real went to the locker room leading 30-40, as the visitors' defense proved to be very tight.
The Berlinese squad reduced the deficit mainly scoring from the distance early in the third period (36-42, min. 24) but Alocén did a great job for his team backed by Causeur again and Real Madrid finished strong (47-59, min. 30).
Despite Real scoring first in the last ten minutes Alba Berlin tightened its defense and improved subtsantially in offense and Aíto's men reduced the visitor's lead to 2 points only: 63-65 with two minutes to go. However Real was perfect from that moent on thanks to Tavares, Thompkins and Deck. A 0-7 run got Laso's men a new win, second Euroleague one this week.
