On a 3 game week Real was pulling yesterday its third consecutive win, beating Gran Canaria in the Spanish competition.
A good first quarter by Real (23-14) led by a good Laprovittola (3/4 threes in that period) supported by Sergio Llull (8 points, 2 threes) set the fundamentals for a new win in front of Real's crowd. By halftime Laso's men had a good margin which seemed to foretell an easy win (48-30).
Nevertheless Herbalife came back from the locker room with more energy and concentration than Real and the team from Gran Canaria got an 18-28 run on the quarter that took them to face the last 10 minutes of the game with options for competing (66-58, min 30).
But Real was back on business coming off the pause and wrapped up the game thank to an early 13-0 run. The score at the end of the game was 92-76 for the locals.
Real stays ahead in the Spanish Championship with 9 wins and only 1 loss.
