Another powerful demonstration leaves Real Madrid one game shy from winning a new championship
Real Madrid was excellent on defense against FC Barcelona, making it very difficult for the Catalan team to score from the very beginning of the game.

The first quarter saw both teams measuring their strengths, but even though both squads had a hard time scoring Real was always a step ahead: Real's big men reigned on both paints, and the locals launched their offensive rebound monologue as the first 10 minutes finished with a 5 points edge for Real, 21-16.

The second period was a copy of the first ten minutes as Real kept dominating the paints and FC Barcelona still had a lot of problems scoring. The Whites forced FC Barcelona's turnovers (11 by halftime) and took advantage of their second chances and the contest reached halftime with Real Madrid leading by 7 points, 46-39.

Real Madrid was back at it from the beginning in the third quarter and a 9-3 run gave them yet a max advantage (55-42, min. 23). Kuric, Barça's best man, led the visitors' last serious run on an attempt to stay alive (55-50) but Poirier was lethal on the offensive rebound and Real closed the 3rd quarter with a renewed 13 point advantage, 66-53.

Real opened the last act with a 6-0 run that was lethal for FC Barcelona, with no ideas, no scorers and no soul. The Whites kept cruising until the end of the game, after winning the 4 runs of the contest, for a new victory, 81-66.

Real Madrid is up 1-2 in the Finals.
