A miracle by Rudy

A miracle by Rudy
Real Madrid pulled a game that was uphill during most of the evening in Athens, against Panathinaikos. The Whites were again off to a bad start in Euroleague and the difference at the end of the first period was alarming: 32-14. Too many points conceded by Real.

From that moment on, team work and defensive adjsutments for the comeback. The visitors had cut back the gap (45-33) but still Panathinaikos had a substantial lead. The Whites would keep on the good job during the third period and a three by the buzzer from Yusta was getting Real Madrid only 6 points behind (59-53, min 30).

PAO seemed to respond then with a good start of the last 10 minutes and increased its advantage (71-60, min 35) but Real Madrid signed a 10-0 run for a 71-70 with less than 2 minutes left. Langford scored a fade away for a 3 point margin again and Randolph scored only 1 of his free throws.

Madrid got the last posession with a 2 point deficit (73-71) and after a messy offense Rudy Fernández managed to score a long incredible buzzer beater that would give Real a huge win.
