A good last quarter gives ACB's first season win to Real
It was the premiere of a new ACB season at the Palacio, and Real dominated the first 10 minutes at the scoreboard (21-18, min 10) even though the locals were not accurate from the distance. San Pablo Burgos, always consistent, found different ways to score while Real Madrid relied mostly on Poirier and a good Yabusele.

Both teams adjusted their defense on the second period while Burgos' best man was still McGee, and Real's most active player was again Poirier. The visitors managed to get the lead at the scoreboard (25-26, min 13) but Llull scored 2 consecutive threes for Real leading back by mid quarter. Nevertheless Tabak's squad managed to hold back Real's offense and the score at halftime was 36 to 34 for the locals.

Tavares lifted Real launching the third period (40-34), but Burgos came back quickly (41-44, min 26) with a 1-10 run. Real's back court made again its appearance for a last 4 minutes of the quarter 14-8 run, with a shining Williams-Goss (8 points on the run).

Burgos was off to a good start of the period again in the last period, but was about to run into Laso's squad best minutes: Poirier again on both paints, a very effective Hanga and Llull once more with 2 consecutive threes, got Real Madrid a 7 point margin (68-61, min 39) that proved to be final. First win of the regular season for Real Madrid, 70-63.
